Emails Reveal Jeffrey Epstein and Steve Bannon Relationship

In November 2018, Steve Bannon, formerly a top aide to Donald Trump, visited the UK preparing for a address at the prestigious Oxford Union.

The speech was disrupted by numerous protesters, and Bannon, who was due to travel that evening, informed Jeffrey Epstein in an message: "Activists delayed speech I doubt I can catch the plane we r enroute to the airport".

Epstein responded: "There. Is a gulf air that leaves at 950 with a stop in Bahrain". Bannon replied: "U r an amazing helper".

These messages were released on this week alongside more than 20,000 documents from the estate of Epstein, the deceased financier convicted of sex crimes.

The release by the Congressional committee contains an text conversation where Bannon's identity is redacted. Media outlets has been able to establish his involvement by cross-referencing the dates, occurrences, and locations mentioned.

For example, Epstein talks about arranging a plane from the UK for the redacted user in the chat, and offers praise their "Oxford speech". Bannon took part in the News Xchange conference on November 14, and delivered the speech at the Oxford Union two days later.

Bannon, who faces no allegations of any misconduct, did not reply on the inquiry.

Epstein's Assurance to Bannon

Bannon served as Trump's closest advisers in the run up to the presidential election and during the initial phase of his presidency, but stepped down from the administration in 2017.

He has acknowledged he was making a film about Epstein prior to his passing and allegedly has approximately 15 hours of footage. In a live taping of his podcast earlier this year, he said: "We plan to release the film, the five-part series, next year - at the start of next year."

But the newly released documents suggest Bannon's connection with Epstein went further than documenting his life, with the disgraced financier at times appearing to serve like a personal assistant.

A short time before the conversation in which Epstein seemed to arranged a private plane for Bannon, Epstein remarked: "what's it like to have the most highly paid travel agent in history ".

Bannon expressed gratitude: "You are quite capable assistant", to which Epstein replied "Massages. Excluded".

Discussing a trip to "Abu Dhabi" in a separate text, Epstein told Bannon: "I'll make sure you're well looked after."

UK Politics Mentioned in Messages

The released messages also reveal Bannon and Epstein discussing UK politics in 2018.

On the same day his address at the Oxford, Bannon messaged Epstein: "I became involved in the Brexit issue this day with Farage, Boris and Rees Mogg."

Then, in what seems like a allusion to the UK prime minister, the struggling British leader at the period, he added: "They are trying to proceed. may today / tomorrow…"

Epstein suggested Bannon: "In my view remaining as much as you can in the UK. Best-- so others see the commitment of your follow-up."

Shortly after, Epstein asked: "Can Theresa May survive". Bannon replied: "It seems unlikely BUT the guys here have little courage" and added "Boris ; Michael Gove; Jacob Rees-Mogg; Davis - somebody has to step up".

Theresa May was eventually removed in May 2019 after withstanding two votes of lack of support in December 2018.

A representative for Reform UK informed media: "Nigel Farage has not been in a gathering with Bannon, Jacob Rees Mogg and Johnson." And there is no evidence that encounter occurred.

The Congress will vote soon on whether the justice department should make public all its records related to its probe into Epstein, who died in jail in that year.

Interest in Epstein's relationships with powerful figures was reignited this week after the release of over 20,000 pages from his archives.
